DJ Vadim, the renowned DJ, producer, record label impresario and air-miles millionaire, known for traveling the globe in search of the perfect beat, has once again united a collective of superb individualistic artists; Chicago rapper Pugs Atomz and UK Songstess Sabira Jade, to make a truly international super-group – The Electric. Their sound which combines hip hop, soul, electronic beats and dubstep has been electrifying crowds wherever they go.



Vadim’s varied and playful production style takes influences from iconic sounds of the 70s, 80s, through to the present and beyond, yielding a futuristic sound that is tinged with vintage dust. It’s got big drums, cranking vintage synths and Moogs, dark moody passages, upbeat moments and some straight-up bugged out-ness too and the songs speak from the heart whether they’re sung, rapped or spoken. This isn’t a throwback to sounds from ages past; The Electric embodies a passion, and Pugs, Sabira and Vadim have molded a futuristic, next level amalgam of their fire to create the warmth in your chest when you hear a song that speaks to you.

My Live PA Show - Lofi Freq
Lofi Freq embodies the crossroad of contemporary electronic music, marrying the classy underbelly of hip-hop lyricism and turntabilism with the ingenuity of modular synthesis and sound design. Taking his roots from the Houston rave scene, LoFi Freq’s sonic viability swells beyond the boundaries of genre and time signature. To typify him as an experimental electronic musician would only hint at the span of his musical exploits.

The music LoFi Freq produces is about subtlety and innovation. Influenced as much by circuit bent Casio keyboards as by modular synthesizers, LoFi Freq’s sinuous beats create bubbling soundscapes that unfurl and modulate into an often base-heavy broken beat pulsing with the saturation of gritty effects and supple layering. A heady combination of old school finesse and new school filtering, LoFi Freq is just as interesting to watch live as he is to listen to.

Dubstep can be a useful tool in a skilled dj's arsenal.

I have been hearing Dubstep for years now. ( we used to call it the breakdown in jungle music ) and its a shame the quality of the productions are for the most part "plastic / digital" sounding in the last few years. Only a FEW artists really capture the raw element that is Dubstep correctly, or even blend the organic and synthetic.

but sitting online listening to all the Wack dub step kids really wears thin. )
